Benevolent Blaze / poem by Leisel Brex
Benevolent Blaze
Earthy embers of pixy dust
swirling, twirling, seeking
lunar escape.
crackling, crisped sparks
of
sentimentality
in hues of lava
grazing ebony, pitted in
campy confines. snappy conifers
firecrackers of pinesap- hushed
by autumn
ashes stir and
settle while the
breath of
magic and treefrogs
trill.
