Edge of Tomorrow

     ~ Bobbi Sinha-Morey

Don't let the sun slip away
before I can breathe the
warm air in again, awaken
to the beginnings of a new
land. Let hope brim in my
soul, let my heart grow
plump after what I've just
seen— a ripe glow in the sky,
women and men lifting their
heads seizing the day we can
all live in peace and honor
the joyous one whom has
led us this far, brought us
so close to our dream. My
heart is like a plump rose
ready to unfold, my healing
spirit impatiently waiting
to cross the edge into
tomorrow.
